OTCT final conference – International Intensive Translation Sessions: One Step Further towards Students’ Employability? Within the Erasmus + project OTCT (Optimising Translator Training through Collaborative Technical Translation), students from 7 European Universities took part in intensive collaborative technical translation sessions in simulated professional conditions.
By bringing together Higher Education Institutions, professionals from the translation sector (freelance translators, translation companies and translator associations, DGT representatives), students/graduates and academics, the workshop was looking to find new ways to meet the expectations of the whole sector and to keep improving the employability of translation graduates.

Conférence finale OTCT – Sessions intensives de traduction technique: un pas de plus vers l’employabilité des étudiants ?
OTCT (Optimisation des cursus en traduction par la traduction technique collaborative) est un projet Erasmus + dans lequel les étudiants des 7 universités européennes ont participé à des sessions intensives de traduction technique collaborative en simulation de conditions professionnelles.
La conférence et les ateliers organisés les 17 et 18 novembre 2016 ont permis de rassembler les professionnels du secteur de la traduction (traducteurs indépendants, agences de traduction, représentants de la DGT) des étudiants / diplômés et des enseignants-chercheurs autour de la question de l’employabilité des étudiants : comment faire converger les attentes du secteur de la traduction ? Quelles pistes peuvent être identifiées pour améliorer l’employabilité des étudiants ?
